2009 Update

Its funny, somehow, I found myself on a Xanga webpage tonight and thought, I have one of these...Lo and behold, it is still active and working...I guess once a year qualifies as an active blog.

Its now August 2009 and I am living in Frisco, TX. It is a suburb of Dallas and I love it. I still work and travel alot, but now just between East Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi. Not quite the world traveler that I was, but thats okay, because I have a great wife at home that I miss while I am away each week and two great dogs that barely recognize me anymore. Life has been good for me. I moved down here in September of 08, so I am about to have my first full year here and must say that we are finally making friends and getting to know the area. Our neighbors are pretty cool, and we enjoy the burbs...I long for my days in the hood when life was a bit simpler, but know that that only works as a bachelor with little to no responsibilities...Having a wife and looking forward to having kids means that I have to provide some security for when I am not around and keep them shielded from stuff that made me such a cynic and wannabe hoodlum.

Its great to catch up once a year and while I know that no one is reading this, I like documenting where I am every now and then. For years I wrote journals and kept the "Diaz Chronicles" on my shelf, detailing my adventures and life...then I got sidetracked for a while, then I got Xanga and did the online thing....now I need to start over...I am going to turn 31 in about a month and a half...A new began for me about a year ago...turning 30, being married, moving from the Peoria area! Jeez, as I look at it, I feel like the fresh prince of bel aire, my life got flipped turned upside down, and now I am back in the current, floating the river of life...better, tubing on the river of life. Every now and then the rapids flip you out of the comfort zone, you get a little wet, but you pee in the water, jump back in your tube and get another drink!

Peace to my friends...wherever you are.

Wow...2 Years!

Wow, its been two years since I last posted...and boy has my life changed...I got married at the end of last year, and have pretty much gotten out of the hood...How funny...the guy who thought he would die there is now living in the burbs...sad but true!

Its a party!!! On Sunday, May 28th, Labor Day Weekend, at 1311 Perry, we are celebrating the fact that after nearly ten years of waiting, I have recieved my college degree. Everyone is invited to come on down and eat good food, hang out in my folks' backyard, and take part in the party. No present is required, just your presence! Hope to see you there and bring a friend, the more the merrier.
